Adoption Audit
Adoption of HTW guidance is key to ensuring that there is access to evidence-based technologies and models of care and support and that their anticipated benefits are realised for people in Wales.
Further, adoption of HTW guidance ensures that partners within industry can be confident that where they have embedded the collection of supporting evidence within development and demonstrated value of their products and services, innovations will become available within the health and social care system in Wales.
It is therefore critical that HTW works to support adoption of guidance and audits the extent to which this has happened to assess the impact our work.
AMaT Case Study
Hywel Dda University Health Board (HDUHB) is one of seven health boards in Wales to use AMaT software to monitor the adoption of HTW and NICE guidance.
HDUHB covers three counties, Pembrokeshire, Carmarthenshire, and Ceredigion so it was particularly important to ensure that there was equality of access to the best available care across the health board area. We worked closely HDUHB’s clinical effectiveness team for two years to support the implementation of AMaT within the health board.
In this video we hear from our Director Dr Susan Myles and the Clinical Effectiveness team at HDUHB about the benefits of using AMaT software to monitor the adoption of NICE and HTW guidance.
