Join Health Technology Wales at Tomorrow’s Health
We’re looking forward to attending Tomorrow’s Health, the newest healthcare innovation conference.
The two-day conference is being held by Life Sciences Hub Wales at Venue Cymru, Llandudno on 25-26 March 2020.
Over 500 delegates are expected to attend, which will bring together health and care professionals, businesses and academia to shape the future of health and care in Wales.
Our team will be at the conference for its full duration and we’re also holding a session on ‘Assessing and evaluating the effectiveness of new health technologies.’ We’ll explore the key methods used in Health Technology Assessments (HTA) and increase understanding of the potential value to service users, providers and technology partners.
The session will explore how to be critical about clinical and economic evidence to benefit policy and commissioning decision-making. It will also explain the methods of economic evaluation used to assess the cost effectiveness of health and care technologies and how this allows decision makers to make best use of limited resources.
The themes of the session will be topical and will touch on real examples of technologies we’ve appraised in our role as the national body responsible for producing Guidance to help evidence-informed decision making by care commissioners.
This is a ‘taster’ session for the ‘Welsh Health Workshops’, a series of workshops we hold in collaboration with Life Sciences Hub Wales. The workshops are thought-provoking and will teach transferable skills to apply to the workplace. They will return in 2020 and dates will be confirmed soon.
